Questions about PressReader

What is the difference from sharemagazines?

With the digital reading circle you only get the current issue of each of the 500-plus papers and magazines, and you can only read them in the library.

With PressReader, on the other hand, you can read at home. It also gives you an archive going back up to 90 days, and a read-aloud function. The full-text search lets you look for particular articles and topics, and you can print them out or send them by email.

What does PressReader cost me?

Nothing. PressReader is free for every reader with a valid library card.

What are my login details?

You log in with the same details — your reader number and your personal password — as for your reader account in our online catalogue.

Can I use PressReader on several devices at once?

Unfortunately not. Trying to log in on several devices with one reader account at the same time can cause problems. As a rule you should log out on the previous device before using PressReader on a new one. If you have trouble logging in to the PressReader app, first try logging out of the app on every device. Then log in again in the app on the device you want. That should sort the problem out.

How long is my PressReader access valid?

When you log in to PressReader your access is normally valid for 7 days. After that you simply log in again in the app with your reader account, which sets your access running for another 7 days.

My login details don't work (any more)...

If your access to our digital services has stopped working, first check at logintest.owbib.de and then email us the result at info@owbib.de, quoting your reader number. We try to help as quickly as we can, in the evenings and at weekends too.

What to do if you have further questions or problems?

You are always welcome to get in touch. Outside opening hours you can reach us round the clock by email at info@owbib.de. We do our best to answer as quickly as we can, in the evenings and at weekends too.

If you notice a mistake or an inconsistency on our website, please let us know. Thank you!

Services

Covid has shown how worth protecting libraries are: they are places where people of different backgrounds meet. Places of education and learning. And places where you can spend time without spending money. Whatever crises come, libraries help us through them.
