Who can use it?

BibTaxi was set up especially for people who cannot come to the library themselves for reasons of age or health.

Through the cold, dark winter months anyone who is no longer steady on their feet, and can no longer get to the library alone, can use it too.

How does it work in practice?

In the online catalogue or through the bibkat app you pick out items marked green and reserve them using the „reserve" function. We then take those reserved items off the shelves, issue them to your reader account and bring them straight to your home.

When we deliver we also take back borrowed items you no longer need. If you only want to return something, just get in touch by email at info@owbib.de, or — once we are open again — by telephone during opening hours.

What does this service cost me?

Nothing. Our service is completely free. We charge nothing for borrowing either. We keep an eye on returns being made in time, so no overdue or reminder fees arise.
