discovering
- Making the spread of the Zollernalbkreis work for us:
- Different offerings are provided at various locations across the whole Zollernalbkreis.
- Local institutions run tournaments that can serve as qualifiers for district-wide championships.
- A network of different institutions across the Zollernalbkreis, each with its own focus.
- At the CSS ZAK, digital games are not simply used as they are at home:
- Games are introduced that are not in the mainstream of what children and young people play.
- Mainstream games are used to support the worthwhile aspects of playing (teamwork, fair play and so on).
- Digital games are used as a way into particular subjects.
learning
- Specific workshops on various subjects:
- The digital game itself is the subject (for example „Unstoppables" on the theme of inclusion).
- The digital game is used to work on another subject (for example democracy, with the game Minetest/Minecraft).
- Small games of your own are programmed (with Bloxels, for instance).
- Various robots are programmed (Ozobots and the Dash robot, for instance).
- Information evenings for parents and anyone interested (for example on the subject
„Digital games: self-fulfilment and escapism") - Professional development for practitioners:
- On using digital games in the classroom and in educational work.
- On dealing with children and young people who spend (too) much time on digital games.
