Make: magazine concerns itself with the political and social dimensions of technical development. Among the subjects it returns to again and again are data protection, censorship and the legal problems of software patents. A regular part of the magazine is the so-called „c't story": a short story written by well-known science fiction authors. Beyond that it reports on large IT projects in Germany and examines them for weak points. This is the world of micro think tanks. Creativity is the engine, enthusiasm the power. Ideas have a platform here.
The magazine is aimed chiefly at advanced computer users, professionals and specialists in the IT industry. They are unusually well qualified in IT and are looking for ideas and news from the field. Often they act as advisers, or as decision-makers when new technical investment is at stake, and so they want to be kept up to date.
Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the fit inheritance of generations and nations.
