Rebuilding the library
...so that the future has a chance

Although in 2018 there was only a fire on the façade, the damage (not counting the parish house itself) is immense: 150,000 €. The insurance covered only about two thirds of the cost, and those funds have since been used up.
After 261 at times turbulent days the library moved temporarily to the neighbouring village of Stetten.
That time was, and remains, full of work. In the temporary premises, though, we are now up against the limits of the space. Even after more than 6 years we depend on every kind of support and on donations.
How long the library will have to stay in temporary premises is not known, nor is anything known about new, permanent rooms. Without rooms of its own with enough space, the library's future therefore remains uncertain (as at December 2024).
